We are looking for a highly skilled Cisco Routing & Switching (R&S) Network Engineer to join our team in Brooklyn, NY . This long-term contract role requires expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures across LAN, WAN, and data centers . The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and a deep understanding of Cisco networking technologies .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructures
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and network devices
• Implement and maintain routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching protocols (VLANs, STP, VTP)
• Optimize network performance, throughput, and latency
• Identify and resolve network issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
• Maintain detailed network documentation , including configurations, procedures, and diagrams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and security

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in Cisco IOS and NX-OS
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, STP, VTP)
• Experience with network security concepts , including ACLs and firewall configurations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• CCNP Routing and Switching certification (preferred)
