What You'll Do

  • Assign drivers and vehicles based on delivery needs and production schedules.
  • Prepare loading lists, shipping documentation, and delivery directions.
  • Plan and optimize routes and loads to ensure cost-effective and timely operations.
  • Monitor weather and traffic conditions and communicate updates to drivers as needed.
  • Communicate with drivers, production, sales, and customer service teams regarding delivery updates, delays, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and address customer inquiries.
  • Contact customers to confirm or adjust delivery schedules.
  • Assist with pickup orders and maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery logs, and transportation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
  • Process DOT-related reports and support general office functions as needed.

What You'll Need

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive problem-solver.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with ERP or dispatch software (e.g., Titan) preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation procedures, and safety standards a plus.

Your Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, precast, or construction industries a plus.
