Position Overview:
We are looking for a Divorce and Family Law Associate to work closely with our experienced team. This role involves representing clients in various domestic relations cases including divorce, child custody, child support, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, alimony, and post-divorce issues. You will help manage a caseload, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings at local and state level.
• Meet hourly billing requirements weekly
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests.
• Assist in the development of case strategies and participate in case preparation.
• Collaborate with staff attorneys and clients to build and manage case files.
• Manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admitted to practice law in Tennessee.
• Licensed to practice at least five (5) years, with at least three (3) years of family law experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Business Litigation is a plus.
• Two (2) employer references
