Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Center (ICC) of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full‑time Panel Technician to join our team within the Instrument Control Division. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and assists in the production of Instrument Control Panels. Attention to detail and following step‑by‑step instructions lead to a successful panel build out. Major Duties Building industrial control panels. Reading schematics and diagrams for installing parts, wire, and components. Testing and troubleshooting with a meter for accuracy. Becoming knowledgeable of UL 508A standards and practices. Becoming knowledgeable of wire types and sizes. Learning the National Electric Code (NEC). Learning the electrical fundamentals. Maintaining an appropriate work appearance: Work pants worn in a conventional manner with no tears. Work boots. Proficient in basic math (algebra). Possessing knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use and care for them. Learning to route wires neatly. Actively contributing to a positive team environment. Demonstrating dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours. Being a self‑starter. Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager. Minimum Qualifications Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and organized. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 lbs to 100 lbs. Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends when needed. Ability to meet deadlines. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in all types of measuring tools as required.
