Contract Duration: Contract through 03/28/2027 (with strong possibility of extension) Location: Olive Township, MI 49460 (Fully Onsite) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Instrument & Control Technician II to join the Technical Services Group at the J.H. Campbell Plant in Olive Township, MI. This role supports instrumentation, control systems, and monitoring operations across three coal-fired generating units. The position plays a critical role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting chemistry and monitoring systems, and ensuring optimal performance of computer-based control systems in a power generation environment. This is a fully onsite role. Candidates must be willing to participate in a weekend on-call rotation and provide support during unit outages throughout the year. No per diem is provided. Relocation assistance is not available; however, candidates willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update technical documentation and system records Test, troubleshoot, and program computer-based control systems Diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems Work with pneumatic control systems and associated components Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical prints Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment related to electric generating plant systems Identify equipment improvement opportunities and provide upgrade recommendations Support plant operations during outages and emergency response situations Required Qualifications Experience working in a power plant or industrial process environment Hands‑on experience testing, troubleshooting, and programming computer-based control systems Experience with PLC-based control systems Working knowledge of pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical prints Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience in an industrial setting Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical field Power industry experience strongly preferred Experience in paper mill or similar heavy industrial environments highly transferable #J-18808-Ljbffr TPI Global Solutions
