Journeyman Millwright - 2nd Shift - GM Warren Annex C - Skilled TradesAramark is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to support operations at the General Motors Global Technical Center, a large, historic campus listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is a non-manufacturing environment focused on facility maintenance and reliability. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical systems and building infrastructure, helping ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This position requires an active Journeyperson license or card. Candidates without proper certification will not be considered.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks, and truck restraintsMaintain and repair Air Handling Units (AHUs), make-up air units, and overhead heatersPerform belt replacement, sheave alignment, and related mechanical workDiagnose mechanical failures and perform corrective repairsExecute preventive and predictive maintenance activitiesPerform welding and fabrication using cutting torch, grinders, etc.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsConduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needsDocument work performed and provide equipment condition feedbackSupport continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtimeFollow all safety policies including LOTO and PPE requirementsCommunicate effectively with team members and leadershipQualificationsJourneyman Millwright certification or 8+ years equivalent experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with overhead doors, dock equipment, and HVAC systemsWelding and fabrication experience requiredAbility to disassemble and repair complex systemsExperience with preventive maintenance programsAbility to operate aerial lifts and work at heightsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCapable of performing physically demanding workProlonged standing, walking, bending, and climbing requiredRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Industrial or large-scale commercial facility maintenanceExperience working in union environments
