Job Description

Midstream Pipeline Advanced leak detection system consultantThis position will be responsible to implement and support highfidelity computational pipeline monitoring CPM and Operator Training Simulator OTS applications on the oil and gas pipelines using sophisticated realtime transient models RTTMCandidate will be working on design configuration tuning and testing of pipeline hydraulic modelbased leak detection systems and operator training simulatorsMust be a selfstarter and able to work independently and lead a team of engineers both at onsite and offshoreKey ResponsibilitiesDutiesDesign configure and tune hydraulic models for pipeline systems using industry standard leak detection and operator training simulator software packagesDevelopment and review of project documentation including the functional design specification acceptance test procedures and custom user documentationWork directly with clients to understand their requirements needs and provide accurate solutionsParticipate in testing activities with clientProvide guidance to other project engineers and work in coordination with other project implementation teamsParticipate in development of standard procedures and training for EndUsersDesired Skills and ExperienceMinimum Bachelors Degree in EngineeringChemicalMechanicalPetroleum5 years of experience working with pipeline simulation software for the Oil and Gas pipeline industryA minimum of 5 years of experience with industrystandard leak detection software packages is required Experience with Energy Solutions International ESI Emerson PipelineManager is mandatory Familiarity with DNVGL SPS Schneider Electric SimSuite Atmos PIPE or similar leak detection systems will be considered an added advantageKnowledge of SCADA systems instrumentation and process controlUnderstand the regulatory requirements for Leak Detection Systems and Operator Training Simulator Ability to develop small applications using SQL and a standard programming languageAbility to develop project plans and coordinate with team members to complete the deliverablesMust be willing and able to travel as required
