Medical Office Coordinator Dermatology & Cosmetic Services

Immediate need for a talented Medical Office Coordinator Dermatology & Cosmetic Services (Epic Scheduling & Patient Registration). Job ID:26-17265 Pay Range: $24 - $26/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.) Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist patients during check-in and check-out.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide scheduling support.
  • Collect patient payments and process electronic transactions.
  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and patient support.
  • Maintain and organize patient records and documentation.
  • Perform filing, scanning, document management, and record retention activities.
  • Produce forms, labels, reports, and correspondence as needed.
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support mail distribution and office administrative functions.
  • Utilize office equipment including scanners, copiers, printers, and fax machines.
  • Support providers, medical assistants, and clinic staff with daily workflow.
  • Assist with skincare and cosmetic product sales.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance standards.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities within Dermatology services.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Medical office administration
    • Patient access
    • Medical reception
    • Healthcare customer service
    • Clinic scheduling
  • Strong experience with:
    • Patient scheduling
    • Appointment coordination
    • Registration and check-in/check-out
    • Customer service
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel between Carmel Valley and Garfield Specialty Center as needed
  • Experience using Epic EMR/EHR
  • Dermatology, cosmetic services, aesthetics, or specialty clinic experience
  • Experience collecting patient payments and handling point-of-sale transactions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows
