Youth Sports Supervisor

The Youth Sports Supervisor is an entry-level leadership position responsible for assisting with the on-site coordination of youth sports leagues and programs. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sports, enjoy working with children, and are looking to gain experience in supervision, leadership, and recreation management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising youth sports games and practices at assigned locations.
• Providing guidance and support to coaches, referees, players, and parents.
• Setting up and taking down equipment before and after games/practices.
• Monitoring player safety and ensuring a positive and respectful environment.
• Assisting with enforcing league rules, policies, and sportsmanship standards.
• Helping resolve minor conflicts or issues that arise during activities.
• Communicating effectively with site staff and reporting incidents or concerns to management.
• Serving as a positive role model for youth participants.
• Coaching team when assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Interest in sports, youth development, or recreation.
• Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be CPR certified within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience as a player, coach, or referee (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to learn and follow organizational policies and procedures.

Working conditions may include:

• May work indoors or outdoors depending on the sport and season.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with children and families.
