Job Description

Position Summary
Leads the day to day activities of technician staff. Facilitates the timely resolution of all computer related questions, problems, and requests from end-users.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leads team and schedules day-to-day activities. Provides work direction, career development and performance reviews. Responsible for staffing during normal hours.
2. Leads team in administration and processing of all problems. Ensure that issues are responded to and resolved appropriately in a timely manner.
3. Resolves the more complex problems, escalated by staff and provides direct assistance to end user. Functions as a liaison to other Hospital groups for ISD staff, when needed.
4. Recommends and implements procedural changes and improvements to the ever-changing technological environment making it more efficient and responsive to end-user needs.
5. Provides status reports and feedback to management. Interacts closely with other Hospital departments to better serve the end user community.
6. Demonstrates and maintains a broad in-depth knowledge of supported software, related system requirements. Recommend new technology as appropriate.
7. Trains new staff in daily operations and procedures of the department. Participates in and helps coordinates end-user trainings. Schedules for staff appropriate trainings

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree- Computer Science Programming
Experience
  • 3 years' experience

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
